Introducing myself
Hi, my name is Cyrilla Pulmans. Since the age of 18 I'm active at dogsports.
I started taking courses at the canine club with my Belgian Shepherd Halusetha's Harvey Bradley. We started at the puppyclass and ended at FCI level 3. Inbetween I took an test for endurance and passed it. I also took some obedience classes with my "lease"dog, an Old English Sheepdog named Pia. Unfortunately she was sold before we could attend the official exam.
After I started living on my own, I wanted my very own dog. My preference was a shorthaired shepherd. At a dogshow I spotted the Australian Kelpie. As soon as I got home I started looking for information. This breed could be my breed. It was a freak coincidence I met at that time the only Kelpie breeder in the Netherlands, Arjan Monster at the waiting-area of a vet. His puppy's needed to be tested at deafness, while Pia needed to have HD x-rays taken.
After a visit at his kennel I knew for sure. I wanted an Australian Kelpie puppy! 3,5 years after the first contact I could finally get her.
Jill and I attended dogsports and obedience classes, which I expanded to agility and herding.
Continues
During Spring 2005 the second Kelpie moved into my house, Quinlan. After lots of e-mail contact, I imported him from Sweden. Together with Quinlan we traing in agility and when there is enough time, we go to Belgium once a month for some herding. Besides this, he can also been seen on regular basis on National and International shows.
And finally halfway 2008 a big dream came true: a gorgeous bitch named Galyi imported from Australia.
